As Fate does, it intervenes as Trixie is gathered up by love and taken to her new Adoption Home, where she slowly begins to trust again and learns to live with her new Mom and Dad. It is here, in her ‘Forever Home,’ that she begins to understand that she is safe, as her new parents reminded her. But her uncontrollable feral instincts still cause her to hide when she feels threatened. But now, she understands that this reaction is not so much ‘out of fear,’ as her mentor had spoken, but more out of cautious intuition ~ an old habit that is beyond her control and signifies emotional growth.
